One Day Trip to Meteora
Discover the breathtaking beauty of Meteora on a full-day journey from Athens. This tour includes a stop at the historic Thermopylae, where the famous battle between the Spartans and Persians took place. Continue north to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Meteora, known for its stunning rock formations and cliff-top monasteries.
You’ll visit three of the active monasteries, each offering unique views and insights into monastic life. A traditional lunch stop in Kastraki, a picturesque village at the foot of Meteora, is also included before returning to Athens in the evening.
Two Day Trip to Meteora

Take your time exploring Meteora with our two-day tour, ideal for those who want a more relaxed and in-depth experience. The trip begins with a scenic drive from Athens and a brief stop at Thermopylae.
We arrive at the fascinating Meteora, with the first visit to one of the Monasteries. After that, you check in to your hotel in Kalambaka or Kastraki village and start exploring the area and choose one of the many options for your lunch.
Enjoy the evening at your leisure—walk through the village, dine locally, or take in sunset views over the rocks. On the second day, visit 2 more of Meteora’s monasteries, each rich in history and perched atop dramatic cliffs. After a lunch break in Kastraki, return comfortably to Athens in the late afternoon.
